Adult Kung Fu (ages 13+)
Covers everything Sifu McKillip has learned from his many years of experience and the many teachers he's had.

Physical training focuses on the 4 Ranges of Combat: Long-Kicking, Long-Striking, Trapping and Grappling --and the traditional 4 Combat Skills: Ti, Da, Shuai and Na (Kick, Strike, Takedown and Submission). Covering all these ranges separates us from other martial arts systems and styles, which heavily rely on one or two ranges only. Having a strong foundation of a wide range of effective fighting skills helps our students quickly learn how to defend themselves, build confidence, and conditions them to be efficient when facing an attacker. It also provides base knowledge for the core focus of our program, Ving Tsun. Information from all of these styles are taught/presented at the same time throughout the training. Gross motor skills are mastered before moving onto the fine motor skills.

Our philosophy in the Adult Kung Fu program is that you want to be at trapping range to be in the best position to control the opponent and be able to gain a superior position in order to end the fight quickly and efficiently.

The curriculum includes:

1.) San Da - (Long Kicking and Long-Striking Range)

  • Important for understanding how to defend against someone who kicks and punches well

  • Best way to deal with multiple attackers

2.) Ving Tsun - (Trapping-Range)

  • A close range system of fighting that focuses heavily on punching and controlling the opponent.

3.) Shuai Jiao - (Grappling-Range)

  • Important for understanding how to deal with an attacker who grabs your arms or body and is trying to take you down.

  • Important for understanding how to defend against joint locks.

  • Includes training in joint locks (Chin Na), sweeps and throws as well as training in how to fall safely.

A Hong Kong Ving Tsun program is available for those who are interested in learning this style exclusively or for those who need a more accessible style.

After completing the Adult Kung Fu requirements for 1st degree, students will start their training in the much older system of Eng Chun Kung Fu.  This information is something that has to be earned by passing the 1st Degree requirements because it can be traced back to the secret societies and has a unique power generation method known as "Detachment Power," in which less than 5 people in the US (including Sifu McKillip) are teaching at more than a basic level.

Lastly, our program is taught as a "Shaolin Path," meaning it is a personal development system where the student will build character alongside, if not more than, their physical Kung Fu skills. When training occurred in the Shaolin temple, one would have different experiences to gain self-awareness and wisdom about life. This greatly influences how the program is structured. This is how we approach Kung Fu.
